Installing it
What you need first
Section titled “What you need first”| The Sims 4 | Tested on the current patch. No specific expansion packs required. |
| WickedWhims | Any modern version. The mod does not run without it. |
| Nisa’s Wicked Perversions | Optional. Only for the smeared-makeup tears. Everything else works without it. |
| Script mods enabled | Game Options → Other → tick both script mods and custom content. |
Installing
Section titled “Installing”- Download the latest
.zipfrom the LoversLab page. - Unzip it. Inside you get a folder called
BQ_NightVisitor. - Drop that folder into your Mods folder.
- Start the game.
That is it. There is no installer and nothing to configure on disk.
Where the Mods folder actually is
Section titled “Where the Mods folder actually is”Documents / Electronic Arts / <The Sims 4> / Mods
The middle part depends on your game’s language, and this trips up a lot of people:
| Game language | Folder |
|---|---|
| English | The Sims 4 |
| Spanish | Los Sims 4 |
| German | Die Sims 4 |
| French | Les Sims 4 |
Use the one your game actually created. If you see more than one, use the one that already has your other mods in it.
![]()
The path, on an English install.
Do not nest the folder
Section titled “Do not nest the folder”This is right:
Mods/ BQ_NightVisitor/ BQ_NightVisitor.ts4script ...This is wrong, and the mod will not load:
Mods/ BQ_NightVisitor/ BQ_NightVisitor/ <-- one folder too deep BQ_NightVisitor.ts4scriptThe Sims 4 only reads script mods a couple of folders deep. If you unzipped straight into Mods and ended up with a folder inside a folder of the same name, move the inner one up.
Updating from an older version
Section titled “Updating from an older version”Delete the old BQ_NightVisitor folder before copying the new one. Do not merge them.
Old versions leave files behind that the new one does not use, and some of them are packages the game still loads. The symptom is interactions that appear twice, or one that does nothing.
Your saved data survives: what the mod remembers about your victims lives in the files listed below, and they are not part of the update.
What the mod writes in that folder
Section titled “What the mod writes in that folder”| File | What it is |
|---|---|
visitante_config.json | Your settings. Delete it and everything goes back to defaults. |
victima_data.json | Which sims are victims, their level, who attacked whom. Back this one up if you care about it. |
trofeos.json | The garments your predator has stolen. |
visitante_mod.log | What the mod did. This is the file to look at when something is wrong. |
translations/ | The language files. See the translation page. |
Compatibility
Section titled “Compatibility”Works alongside MC Command Center, Sims4CommunityLib, Basemental Drugs and most WickedWhims addons.
If you hit a conflict with another mod, the log file is the place to start — and reporting it to both mod authors gets it fixed faster than reporting it to one.
